The self-care depression program (PDF file) is based on the experience of the authors and on scientific research about which strategies work best in managing depression. This book is meant to provide accurate information about depression. It is not a psychological or mental treatments and is not a replacement for treatment where this is needed.

    I feel it’s more difficult to treat a person with mental health problems than one with physical illness. It’s harder to reach out to the former.

    Today is the anniversary of my friend’s mother death, who jumped to her death, due to antidepressant pills.

    Many people are plagued with depression, yet it is such a taboo to talk about it… And often they do not know what to do.

    Psychotherapy, social support, nutritional support (often overlooked) &
    (if necessary) medication will help….
